The Perth Mint is proud to present The Jewelled Horse, a spectacular numismatic treasure with a mintage of just eight.

Struck from 10oz of 99.99% pure gold in proof quality, the coin is surmounted by a three-dimensional representation of a rearing horse crafted from 18-carat rose gold. The magnificent beast glitters with 169 pavé-set Argyle pink diamonds weighing 2.76 carats. Two golden coloured diamonds from the Argyle Diamond Mine represent the eyes.

The coin’s artistry honours the animal’s significance in Chinese culture as a symbol of vitality, courage, nobility and power with a flawlessly struck design incorporating a jasmine branch and the Chinese character for ‘horse’.
